Para Typhoidinum
Paratyphoid nosode
Sterilised cultures of paratyphoid bacteria
in 1 remedy
A nosode made from paratyphoid bacteria, traditionally associated in homoeopathy with lingering low fevers, loose stools and slow recovery after gut infections.
Paratyphoidinum is a nosode, a homoeopathic remedy prepared from cultures of the bacteria that cause paratyphoid fever, a food and water-borne infection of the gut related to typhoid. The cultures are sterilised and then prepared in the homoeopathic way.
Homoeopaths traditionally use it where a person has never felt well since a bout of gut infection. It is associated with a low fever that lingers without clear cause, loose stools that keep returning, poor weight and weakness after such an illness, and a dull, persistent headache, sometimes with giddiness.
