A Schuessler tissue salt known as the cramp salt, traditionally used for colic, period cramps and spasmodic pains that are better for warmth and pressure.
Magnesia phosphorica is magnesium phosphate, a white mineral salt found in bones, muscles and nerves. It is one of the twelve tissue salts of Wilhelm Schuessler's biochemic system and is widely known simply as Mag phos.
Classic texts call it homoeopathy's great antispasmodic. It is traditionally used for cramping, shooting or radiating pains that are eased by heat, firm pressure and bending double: colic with wind in babies and adults, period cramps, muscle cramps, toothache and nerve pain in the face. Hiccups and a dry, spasmodic cough also fit its picture.
