Ferrum Phosphoricum
Iron phosphate
Iron phosphate, ground with milk sugar
in 2 remedies
One of Schuessler's twelve tissue salts, traditionally used for the early stage of fevers and colds and for pale, tired people.
Ferrum phosphoricum is phosphate of iron, prepared as a fine powder. It is one of the twelve tissue salts of Dr Wilhelm Schuessler's biochemic system, in which it is regarded as the salt that helps the blood carry oxygen. For use it is ground with milk sugar into a fine trituration.
In homoeopathy and biochemic practice it is traditionally given at the very first stage of fevers, colds and inflammations, before they settle in: mild fever, flushed cheeks, a red sore throat or the start of an earache. It is also associated with pallor and tiredness, nosebleeds of bright red blood and general weakness.
