Calcium sulphate
Calcium sulphate (gypsum, plaster of Paris)
in 2 remedies
Gypsum, or plaster of Paris, prepared as one of the twelve tissue salts and traditionally used for pimples, boils and slow-clearing yellow discharges.
Calcarea sulphurica is calcium sulphate, found in nature as the soft white mineral gypsum and familiar, once heated, as plaster of Paris. It is one of the twelve tissue salts in Dr Schuessler's biochemic system.
Homoeopaths traditionally use it in the later stage of skin and throat complaints, once a boil or abscess has opened but is slow to clear. It is associated with pimples and pustules on the face, boils, eczema with yellow crusts, and thick, yellow, lumpy discharges from the nose, ears or throat, including the late stage of a sore throat.
