Calcium phosphate (phosphate of lime)
in 4 remedies
A tissue salt made from the main mineral of bone, traditionally used for growing children, slow teething and the tired, run-down feeling after illness.
Calcarea phosphorica is calcium phosphate, the chief mineral of bones and teeth. It is prepared by dropping dilute phosphoric acid into lime water, and it is one of the twelve tissue salts in Dr Schuessler's biochemic system, where it is the leading salt for bone.
Homoeopaths traditionally use it for children who are slow to teethe or grow, with weak digestion and growing pains. It is also associated with the pale, run-down state that follows illness, with bones that are slow to knit, and with headaches in schoolchildren. Its complaints are typically worse in cold, changeable weather.
