Calcium fluoride (fluorspar)
in 3 remedies
One of Schuessler's twelve tissue salts, associated with the elastic tissue of veins, ligaments and tooth enamel, and with hard, knotty swellings.
Calcarea fluorica is calcium fluoride, which occurs in nature as the mineral fluorite, or fluorspar. It is one of the twelve tissue salts of Dr Schuessler's biochemic system, which links it with tooth enamel, the surface of bones and the elastic fibres of veins and ligaments.
In that system it is the salt of elasticity. Homoeopaths traditionally use it when tissues lose their tone or harden: varicose and swollen veins, piles, loose teeth and weak enamel, cracked skin, and hard, knotty swellings of glands or near joints, such as ganglions. It also appears in remedies for a stiff, aching back.
