Bellis Perennis
Daisy
Whole fresh plant
in 1 remedy
The common lawn daisy, traditionally used in homoeopathy for bruises, sprains and deep soreness after injury, strain or overwork.
Bellis perennis is the common daisy of European lawns and meadows, a small perennial with a rosette of spoon-shaped leaves and white-rayed flowers with yellow centres. It blooms through much of the year, which suits its name perennis, meaning everlasting.
Homoeopaths often think of it for bruising of the deeper tissues. It is traditionally associated with sprains and bruises, a sore, lame, beaten feeling in muscles and joints, and soreness after hard physical work, falls or surgery. The English homoeopath Burnett praised it as a remedy for old labourers, especially gardeners.
